March 17-21 - Mammoth Mountain
Finally, we went with Öx, PB & Ninon for 5 days in Mammoth Mountain. Skiing under blue skies and a hot sun with lots of that white stuff on the mountain. Brilliant!

We drove up Tuesday evening and stayed the night at a cheap motel in Bishop, just half an hour from Mammoth Getting ready, with (it turned out) way to much clothes on... No snow yet, but the mountains look promising! At last! On the top, at 3300 m above sea level. Öx in his infamous skiing outfit. Nice view Raz-cam! Coming up on Looking to the right (north) from Stump Alley Express. Here goes Batman! Raz on his way down to the nice bowl on the back of the mountain Fluffy pic over the back side Base station of the Panorama Gondola at Main Lodge Ninon and Raz ready! Ninon and Raz, up Chair 14 So why didn't we bring any Laphroaig? Ninon in the middle of the fluff YEEOOOWWW! (Yes, Raz actually had this very suspicious looking sausage for lunch!) The Öx grin, right after lunch. (även känt som Outpost 14. Everyone lined up: PB, Raz, Öx and Ninon's back! Is skiing Scotty's Run like this macho, or what? Well, Ninon left and Raz is still there perpearing mentally ;-) Raz didnät really like Scotty's Run just as much as the skiing part of us... Enjoying the view Fire down the valley Dave's Run wasn't groomed, obviously... ... but Öx had no problems... ... and of course not PB either. In the slushy slopes down to Chair 9 PB mastering the spring snow Raz enjoys surfing the soft snow Trees by Chair 9 More trees by Chair 9 Chair 9 - long and slow. But with a sky like that, who complains anyway !?!?! Slushy ride! Raz with a huge smile in Chair 9 Definitely a PB-ish lunch: Chili In Bread Bowl! Great! Ahhh, that felt gooood!
